We’re excited to congratulate Ezri Sarabia, one of our Computing For All Pre-Apprenticeship Software Development students, who was accepted into the prestigious Microsoft Discovery Internship program this summer!
Ezri’s passion for computer science helped him stand out to Microsoft interviewers.
From curiosity to achievement
Ezri’s journey began with computer science in middle school, continued through XBOT robotics at Franklin High School, and since participating in University of Washington’s “Change Makers in Computing” program in summer 2024, he’s gone on to complete 3 CFA Pre-apprenticeship levels over the school year, developing expertise in web development and front-end technologies.
Leadership that stood out
Ezri led a kiosk project at the University of Washington’s Allen School, where his team created solutions for homeless individuals to access online resources. The project earned the Tech Ethics Award for recognizing underserved communities—an achievement he highlighted in his Microsoft application.
“I demonstrated leadership by delegating tasks when my team was initially shy,” Ezri shared about the experience that became central to his internship essay. He navigated Microsoft’s conversational yet thorough interview process with confidence. CFA’s MS internship preparation program also helped ready him for the interview.
After graduating high school and completing his AA Degree at Seattle Central College this spring, Ezri will finish his Microsoft internship in July, continue with CFA Level 4 in August, and start at University of Washington this fall.
This is why we do what we do at Computing For All—preparing students not just with technical skills but supporting their leadership experience and confidence to succeed at top-tier opportunities.
Congratulations, Ezri!
