Take the lead
Industry drives the Washington Tech Workforce Coalition.
We rely on you to help us:
Understand industry workforce needs
Map industry workforce needs to education programs and curriculum
Prepare graduates with professional skills and on-the-job training
Significant work already underway in mapping new skills requirements will be accelerated for inclusion in purpose-built career pathways through initiatives managed by the Coalition.
Funding of the Coalition is expected to encompass program building and scaling, outreach to under-served communities, and wraparound services.
Benefits
Industry Partners participating in the Coalition will receive priority status for connection to students enrolled in newly created career pathways.
Responsibilities
1. Designate a management employee to work with the Coalition for pathway enhancement.
2. Provide work-based learning opportunities to qualified students based on business needs, such as career exploration, job shadowing, internships, apprenticeship, etc.
Details
Career Connect Washington (CCW) is a state-funded alliance of education, industry, workforce, and community partners working in shared purpose towards aligning industry needs to K-16 education curriculum. CCW selected Computing for All (CFA) as the Washington State IT and Cybersecurity Sector Intermediary chartered with developing a high capacity/low friction talent pipeline for in-demand Tech jobs.
In this role, Computing for All will:
Build a statewide Coalition to add hundreds more qualified workers into the Tech Sector.
Structure the Coalition with major Industry, Education, Workforce, and Community partners.
Develop a high capacity/low friction talent pipeline for in-demand Tech jobs.
Increase Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workforce.
Fund the Coalition through CCW’s stewardship of the US Department of Commerce Good Jobs Challenge grant.
The Coalition will be an enduring source of new talent for Washington state’s Tech workforce.
