Fall 2023 Workforce Summit
Please join fellow tech industry businesses and professionals for a discussion on how to resolve workforce challenges. Learn how you can leverage new state-wide resources and programs to build a successful diverse talent pipeline for technology roles including Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Software Development.

In partnership with: Computing For All, OneRedmond, OneEastside Spark, IT Center of Excellence, City of Bellevue, Career Connect Washington, Technology Alliance Group for Northwest WA, Washington Technology Industry Association.

Computing For All is 501(c)(3) tech education nonprofit committed to building and scaling a diverse educator-employer partnership in WA state that will expand access to industry-validated, tech competencies for learners in secondary and post-secondary institutions.

This work is part of the state’s initiative to build robust career-connected training systems to connect thousands of learners to good-paying jobs.

Miriam Brady

Director, Skills for Jobs Programs , Microsoft

Miriam Brady leads the Skills for Jobs Programs team with Microsoft Philanthropies. They provide resources, programs and support to nonprofits focused on skilling those who have been excluded from opportunities in technology {due to race, gender, geography or who have been displaced by technology} to lead them to jobs and livelihoods in the digital economy. Miriam comes from a background in technology and computer science education and has been part of the Microsoft team for 5 years.

Monica Moore

Senior Program Manager , T-Mobile

Monica has a diverse background spanning the military, franchising, banking, and telecommunications. Her solutions-focused drive and her organizational development and coaching background align the work with business goals and objectives while empowering leaders to navigate the challenges that arise. At T-Mobile, she helps Lines of Business identify the best approach to leveraging Career Programs as part of their workforce planning while ensuring program goals and objectives align with broader Enterprise incentives.

When she’s not working, she hangs with her two kids, mini Australian Shepard, doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and working on her Ph.D. in Business Management.

Kevin Shah

CEO at Jaago, Senior Manager of Product Management ,T-Mobile

A.K.A – Captain Empathy. Kevin is an experienced product leader. He has helped make large scale impacts with big companies over various industries. He also started a company call Jaago to help companies learn empathy in their goals of building an equitable culture. He supports various non-profit organizations as a board member, speaker, and volunteer. He is a public speaker and a podcast host for Empathy PowerUP.

Craig von Collenberg 

Workforce Program Manager, Amazon 

Craig is a Workforce Program Manager for AWS where he works to connect employers to educational pathways in cloud computing careers. In this role, he leverages over ten years of experience in workforce development and apprenticeship. He served as the former Governor-appointed Executive Director for Nevada Governor’s Office of Workforce Innovation and as a former member of the Governor’s Workforce Development Board. Most recently, before joining AWS, he helped lead the Nevada System of Higher Education’s workforce development efforts. 

Ian Wyosnick

Senior Manager, UX Research , Smartsheet

Ian is a user researcher with over 8 years of experience. His passion is solving big cross-functional problems and making experiences accessible for everyone. He lives in Seattle with his wife and two kids and loves getting outdoors with them as much as possible.

Kevin Wang

Founder , Mentors in Tech

Kevin Wang is the founder of Mentors in Tech, a program that helps overlooked tech students at smaller, less well known, accessible and affordable colleges navigate and launch their careers through structured industry mentorships, integrated capstone projects, and tailored recruitment.

Mentors in Tech’s work has been recognized as one of the 20 Promising Practices to Advance Quality, Equity, and Success in Community College Baccalaureate Degree Programs by the Community College Baccalaureate Association. MinT has also been featured on the Clayton Christensen Institute blog as well as Microsoft Alumni News.

Prior to MinT, Kevin founded the Microsoft TEALS Program that has helped over 1,000 high schools in the US, Canada, and Mexico build diverse, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable CS programs. Kevin’s work in TEALS has been featured in the New York Times, CNN, Geekwire, and Univision. The growth of TEALS is the subject of a Yale School of Management case study.

Kevin has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and a graduate degree in education from Harvard.
