Congratulations to Nhat Do, a Computing For All Pre-Apprenticeship Program (PAP) graduate, for completing his Microsoft Discovery Internship this summer!
When Nhat first joined CFA’s program, he described himself as shy and unsure of his abilities. Fast-forward to his internship at Microsoft, and he was:
– Leading his project pod as Project Manager
– Applying Figma design skills learned at CFA to impress his mentor
– Taking initiative with design thinking to strengthen his team’s project
– Seeing the bigger picture. The internship revealed the wide range of career paths at Microsoft, from technical to business development.
Reflecting on his journey, Nhat shared:
“The PAP gives you a concrete baseline — the basic tech skills to branch off in many directions. It sets you up for college classes and internships. It also develops your ability to ask questions, collaborate, and keep improving.”
His mentor at Microsoft praised him for his initiative and problem-solving mindset — qualities that CFA emphasizes through group projects and growth-focused learning.
Nhat’s advice to future students: “Apply early! Remember that how you present yourself on the resume is crucial and show how important this is to you in the interview”.
What we love most: Nhat’s story proves that with the right skills and growth mindset, doors will open—from classrooms to Microsoft’s hallways.
